I’ve lived in 9 cities, 7 states, 2 countries.
But Mankato is my Home.
What’s my story? Well, let me start with I like to do. I like bringing ideas to the screen, I love the creativity, the collaboration, the fun of planning, and executing ideas. I developed that love first at Southeast Tech (AAS - Sioux Falls, SD) where I studied business administration. Now you might be asking yourself “Business administration doesn’t sound like a creative field” and maybe for some people you’d be right, but for me a business requires creative thinking to be unique, to be special, and to be memorable. How I wanted to apply that creativity shifted one day when I was at Bethany Lutheran College. I had come to Mankato and to Bethany to get my Bachelor’s degree… in business, but some friends of mine were out making a movie for class and needed some help with the camcorder. It wasn’t long before I realized that my hobby of photography, my technical inclination, and yes, my take on business could all be applied into one field, Film and Television production. Fast forward a few years, and many projects later and I find myself in Grad School in Savannah Georgia getting my Masters in Film & Television Production. Since that point I’ve been across the United States creating content for numerous businesses, ran Mankato’s PEG TV station (KTV), taught at Bethany, and had a great time in the world of film and television. Since 2020 I’ve added producing and directing live sports, conferences, and more, to my body of work. Maybe the next part of my story will find me working on your project? I don’t know, but I’m sure I’ll be having fun somewhere in this wild wonderful world.
